Anemia

Anemia

Anemia is a condition when your blood has lesser healthy Red Blood Cells (RBC). Usually, for a Indian male the RBC count should be a minimum of 4.7 million cells per microliter. And for a female it should be 4.2 million cells per microliter. Whenever the RBC count drops below these numbers, we call it Anemia.

These blood cells carry oxygen to allover your body. That’s why one feels very weak while having anemia. Besides of weakness, Anemia has other symptoms like – headache, sore tongue, pale skin, dry skin and fast heartbeats. It generally happens due to:
  1. Lack of Vitamin B12 in your diet. Or you cannot absorb Vitamin B12 naturally.
  2. Diet excludes Folic acid, or your body cannot use it correctly.
  3. Inherited blood disorders.
  4. Chronic conditions that stop your body to make enough hormones to produce red blood cells
  5. Blood loss related to other conditions such as ulcers and gastritis.
