Urinary Bladder Cancer

Bladder Cancer:

Bladder, also called as urinary bladder is a balloon shaped organ in the lower pelvis region. The primary work of bladder is to store urine. Due to various reasons one can develop bladder cancer. This type of cancer has become very common in the recent years.

Most bladder cancers are diagnosed at an early stage where it is curable. But even if treated in early stages, bladder cancer can come back repeatedly. That’s why people diagnosed with bladder cancer need to undergo routine tests, even after treatment.

Few symptoms of bladder cancer are:

  • Blood in the urine. This is the most common symptom.
  • Having to urinate often.
  • Pain while urinating.
  • Back pain.
  • Pelvic pain.

There are various reasons and risk factors of developing urinary bladder cancer. But smoking, taking drugs, drinking are major factors behind it.

According to Statista, the cases between 2009 and 2021 has increased about 21.71% in men, in the USA.
