There are generally two types of lymphoma – Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The first one occurs in the age range of 15 – 40 years. As people grows older the chances of developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma become more likely. Though Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is becoming common in recent days.

Stage 1 lymphoma is when the cancer has affected only one group of lymph anywhere in the body.

Stage 2 lymphoma means when two or more groups of lymph are affected by the cancer. But all the groups must be on the same side of diaphragm.

Stage 3 means that there are lymph nodes that contain lymphoma on both sides of the diaphragm.

Stage 4 lymphoma is when cancer has started in lymph nodes but has spread to other nearby organs.
