Agnihotra is an Ancient vedic knowledge, which is not restricted to caste, creed, religion, gender, financial status etc. Agnihotra is a universal truth which can be performed by anyone and benefits the entire mankind.

Benefits: -
Agnihotra helps harmonize / normalize the energy balance related to all the five elements i.e. Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth in the Environment.

Fire is opposite to the gravity, and its uplifting. Even just watching the flames during Agnihotra is very relaxing and calming for the mind, as it burns the negative emotions and improves the positive emotions within us gradually.  We can get rid of restless thoughts and negative emotions like greed, jealousy, envy, wickedness, ego, lust, obsession, pride, fear, anxiety, anger, depression, impatience, hatred, worry, sadness, loneliness, shock and combinations of these. The positive emotions get ignited by the pure fire like will power, self confidence, love, care, gentle, calmness, compassion, competitiveness, cheerfulness, joy, contentment, optimism, enthusiasm etc.

An automatic healing happens when we practice Agnihotra everyday, as it cleans & normalises the solar plexus chakra (Manipura Chakra)

Circadian Rhythms & Infradium Rhythms in humans, plants, animals, fungi etc. When rice and clarified butter made from cow's milk are placed in the Agnihotra fire performed at the pious hours of sunrise and sunset following the circadian rhythm, certain gases are released in the atmosphere. These are germicidal gases that also improve bodily immunity so that we can stay protected against various diseases. These gases were first studied and brought into notice of world by Bacteria Scientists of Pune. They had found that these gases have amazing capabilities to make bacteria inactive.

A circadian rhythm is a natural, internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and repeats roughly every 24 hours. These rhythms control a variety of biological processes, such as sleep-wake cycle, body temperature, feeding, hormone secretion, glucose homeostasis, and cell-cycle regulation

An Abnormal Circadian Rhythm (ACR) leads to sleep disorders, cognitive impairment, mood disturbances, and increased risk of cardiometabolic disorders. People working in night and sleeping in day are more prone to risks associated with ACR. For example: - night shifts in BPO / call centre, Police departments, security services etc.

Infradium Rhythm  is a rhythm with a period longer than the period of a circadian rhythym for example - full moon, tidal, menstruation, breeding, seasonal rhythms.
Save Cows India Charitable Trust is updating the Agnihotra Urja website with more resources related to this magical ritual.
